A total of 4,221 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&amp;H in the past 24 hours, of which 1,358 tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.

New cases have been registered in all the cantons in the Federation of B&amp;H. In the past 24 hours, 388 patients recovered.
In the past 24 hours, 49 new deaths were reported to the FB&amp;H Public Health Institute.
As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of B&amp;H is 3,417.
Today, 86 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the Brčko District, and 140 samples were tested. Three persons died and a total of 894 cases are currently active.

In the Court of B&amp;H the trial in the "Respirators" affair in connection with the procurement of 100 respirators worth 10,530,000 KM, which were imported from China by the company "Srebrena Malina", owned by Fikret Hodžić.
In addition to Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić, FB&amp;H Finance Minister Jelka Milićević, suspended director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration Fahrudin Solak and owner of the "Srebrna malina" company Fikret Hodži are also accused of the controversial purchase of respirators for the needs of the Federation of B&amp;H (FB&amp;H).
Sebija Izetbegović, Director General of KCUS, testified. Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi will soon be able to leave the hospital where he was admitted last Monday for a routine check-up, his Forza Italia party said on Wednesday.

-Berlusconi is currently hospitalized at San Raffaele (in Milan) for routine clinical monitoring and adjustment to ongoing therapy. He will be discharged shortly- the party said.
Before being taken to San Raffaele hospital, the 84-year-old media tycoon was staying at his house in the small town of Arcore, close to Milan, a party source said.

Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, chaired the meeting of the Task Force for Fight Against Terrorism, which was attended by officials from judicial authorities, police, security and law enforcement agencies from the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both entities and the Brčko District of B&amp;H, as well as representatives of the international community involved in the work in this field. 

The main topics of the meeting were the activities of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fight against terrorism and the threat of terrorism, participation in international operations and activities within the anti-terrorist coalition, and preventive activities taken to prevent the threat of terrorism and radicalisation, as well as the processes of deradicalisation of persons prosecuted for terrorism-related offences.
The Chief Prosecutor informed the participants at the meeting that despite the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions and limitations at work, the past 2020 and the beginning of 2021 were the period with extremely good results in the Terrorism Section the outcome of which was the filing of indictments for terrorism-related offences against a total of 8 people in 2020 and against one person in 2021. 
The results were achieved through joint work and cooperation of institutions and agencies operating within the Task Force and the Operational Group with the aim of strengthening the rule of law and security of citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
During the meeting, officials and representatives of institutions operating within the Task Force had an opportunity to present their work and results, as well as current issues in this field from the aspect of the work of the institutions they come from, stated the B&amp;H Prosecutor's Office.&nbsp;

Tadić: Nine people have been charged with terrorism since beginning of last year

The B&amp;H Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija spoke today via video link with the UN Resident Coordinator in B&amp;H Ingrid Macdonald about the current epidemiological and socio-economic situation in B&amp;H and the region caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija informed the UN Coordinator McDonald about the activities undertaken by the B&amp;H Council of Ministers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and expressed gratitude to the UN for its assistance in mitigating the consequences.
Also, the Chairman expressed disappointment with the global vaccine procurement system, emphasizing that vaccines should have been a common good and not an instrument for expressing the power and dominance of individual countries and policies.

US Embassy awards Certificate of Appreciation to Police Commissioner Selimović

France’s culture minister has been hospitalised with COVID-19 but its employment minister has been discharged after receiving treatment over the past few days, amid a rapidly escalating third wave of the pandemic.&nbsp;Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot, 74, will remain under surveillance for a few days, her ministry said in a statement.
-Her condition is stable, there is no reason for worry- the ministry said.
The news came as Employment Minister Elizabeth Borne, 59, tweeted that she had left hospital. She was hospitalised last Friday, eight days after testing positive for COVID-19.
A labour ministry spokesman had told Reuters on Tuesday evening that Borne was doing well after feeling very weak last week.
She had been in touch with her staff and had been involved in discussions about tighter home working regulations, he said.
President Emmanuel Macron tested positive for COVID-19 in December and had to self-isolate. At least eight ministers in his centrist government, including Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, have tested positive for COVID-19 in recent months.
The hospitalisation of the two ministers has come as the French hospital system again comes under severe strain due to an influx of COVID-19 patients.
There are close to 27,000 people with COVID-19 in French hospitals and on Tuesday the number of people in intensive care with the disease rose to a four-month high of 4,634, compared to nearly 5,000 during the second lockdown in November and more than 7,000 in April 2020.

In the last 24 hours, there were 1,852 newly infected with coronavirus out of 5,359 tested patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In total, 62 deaths have been reported to both entities Public Health Institutions and the Brčko District.
For comparison, the day before, 1,719 newly infected persons and 67 deaths as a result of coronavirus were reported in B&amp;H. A total of 5,528 tests were processed and 894 patients recovered.
In the past 24 hours, 3,847 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&amp;H, of which 1,172 were positive for coronavirus

In the past 24 hours, 43 new deaths were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&amp;H. As of today, the number of deaths in the Federation of B&amp;H is 3,368.
A total of 519,462 samples have been tested so far, and coronavirus has been confirmed in 103,688 individuals.
Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in Republic of Srpska, 1,332 laboratory samples have been tested in the last 24 hours, and the coronavirus has been confirmed in 578 people.
Among the infected persons, 284 are male and 294 female, of which 60 are younger, 347 middle-aged, and 171 older.
In the last 24 hours, 17 deaths have been reported to the Republic of Srpska Institute of Public Health in which the presence of coronavirus has been confirmed.
These are middle-aged and elderly people, four of whom are from Banja Luka, two from Bijeljina, Šipovo and Istočna Ilidža and one each from Trebinje, Zvornik, Mrkonjić Grad, Prijedor, Foča, Teslić and Doboj.
So far, 37,772 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Republic of Srpska, and a total of 2,509 people who have been diagnosed with the coronavirus have died.
In the last 24 hours, 102 newly infected persons of 153 tested samples were confirmed in the Brčko District of B&amp;H. Two people died, one male and one female.
In the last 24 hours, 12 people have recovered and 823 are currently active.

The Government of the People's Republic of China has provided 50,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines for Bosnia and Herzegovina, said this morning Chinese Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Yi Ping in a conversation with B&amp;H Foreign Minister Bisera Turković.

Minister Turković immediately ordered that all necessary mechanisms be initiated for the fastest possible acceptance of the shipment, which will be of great importance for B&amp;H while facing the difficult procurement of vaccines on the world market.
Also, Minister Turković expressed her gratitude to the Government of the People's Republic of China for this donation.
-We will include all the necessary institutions within B&amp;H in order for this process to end as soon as possible, and for the vaccines to reach the end users- added Minister Turković on that occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
