Within the framework of bilateral economic relations, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany are strengthening economic exchange, the German Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced after the third meeting of the B&amp;H-German working group on economic issues which was held online.

The working group included numerous representatives of line ministries, economy and administration, led by Dragiša Mekić, Assistant Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&amp;H and Helge Tolksdorf, Head of the EU Enlargement Department, Southeast Europe and Turkey at the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.
The participants discussed general issues of economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as specific issues of selected economic sectors and individual investments.
Even in the crisis, Germany remained the main trade partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so cooperation between the countries can be an important support on the way out of the crisis.
Helge Tolksdorf also emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and ongoing exchange. Important terms to be shared are, within the framework of the Berlin Process - the meeting of the Prime Ministers in the summer of 2021 and the meeting of the Ministers of Economy next June, which are also held at the request of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Margret Uebber, German Ambassador to B&amp;H, greeted the participants and expressed satisfaction that the meeting was held again for the first time in two years.
The bilateral working group was established in 2017. It usually meets once a year with the same members.
In 2019 and 2020, the working group did not meet due to the non-formation of the government in BiH, and in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In accordance with the Decision of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Engineering Battalion of the Tactical Support Brigade of the Armed Forces of B&amp;H (AFB&amp;H) today completed engineering works on construction and rehabilitation of access road and plateau for future container settlement in the Lipa camp near Bihać.

Representatives of the local community of the City of Bihać and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) took over the work done and expressed gratitude for the contribution of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of B&amp;H in creating better living conditions for migrants in the Lipa camp. 
This has completed the second phase of engineering works at this location.
The works lasted from February 22 to March 9, and after the handover, the AFB&amp;H unit returned to the location of the barracks in Bihać, stated the Ministry of Defense of B&amp;H.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&amp;H Staša Kosarac received today in Sarajevo the Ambassador of Greece to B&amp;H Dimitrios Papandreou, with whom he discussed the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Košarac and Ambassador Papandreou commended the good relations between B&amp;H and Greece, and pointed out that there were no open issues and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would continue to develop for mutual benefit.
They discussed the upcoming visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Costas Fragoyiannis Costas to B&amp;H, which is planned for April, if the epidemiological conditions allow it.
It was agreed that Košarac and Fragoyiannis would hold a bilateral meeting on that occasion in order to improve foreign trade and increase the volume of Greek investments in B&amp;H.
Košarac and Papandreou especially emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of tourism and agreed to visit Trebinje together in April, where they will discuss the organization of a tourist forum between B&amp;H and Greece with the City Administration.
They agreed on joint activities to strengthen cooperation and better connect businesses from B&amp;H and Greece, and announced that during the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Fragoyiannis, they would define concrete steps in improving foreign trade.
Papandreou informed Košarac about Greece's plans to organize a Greek Culture Week in Banja Luka in May, which will be a good opportunity to promote tourism potentials.
Košarac expressed his gratitude to Papandreou for the donations in medical and protective equipment that Greece sent to health institutions in both of the entities in the past year to help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, said the B&amp;H Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Reza Ghelichkhan visited the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments in B&amp;H (FIPA) and met with Director Milica Marković.

Ambassador Ghelichkhan stated that Iranian companies are especially interested in investments in the field of energy, agriculture, metal processing and automobile industry.
Director Marković informed the ambassador and his associates about the work of the Agency, investment opportunities in B&amp;H, FIPA cooperation with relevant institutions, and coordination of the work of B&amp;H institutions in the field of attracting foreign investments.
She pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the largest exporter of electricity in the region, that it has one of the lowest electricity prices in Europe, that the corporate income tax rate is only 10 percent, and that we have numerous free trade agreements that allow customs-free exports to many markets, while rental and purchase prices of investment sites, including free and industrial zones, are very competitive.
It was agreed to cooperate in presenting and connecting Iranian companies with project owners from Bosnia and Herzegovina when epidemiological conditions are met, and to organize a business forum.
Marković stated that FIPA provides support to investors during all phases of the investment cycle, starting with obtaining initial information, then through the project implementation process, and after that through the aftercare program investors receive support in resolving potential difficulties, FIPA said.

Germany is the top target of Russian disinformation campaigns in the European Union, a report said on Tuesday, as ties between Moscow and the West hit new lows over the poisoning and jailing of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.


The EU’s disinformation watchdog, which is run by the bloc’s External Action Service, said in the report it had documented 700 cases of deliberately fake or misleading reporting that aimed to spread disinformation about Germany since launching a tracking database in late 2015.
That compares to more than 300 cases for France, over 170 for Italy and 40 for Spain, said the watchdog, which was set up after Moscow’s 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine and aims to combat what it sees as a deliberate smear campaign by Russia.
-Germany is singled out as the main target for Russian disinformation efforts among European member states- said the watchdog, which is called EUvsDisinfo.
EUvsDisinfo said the Kremlin was trying to portray Germany as a country driven by “irrational Russophobia” to draw attention away from Russia’s violations of human rights and international law.
-(Russia’s approach) intends to create uncertainty, sow discord, give Russian officials for manoeuvre... The Kremlin doublespeak exploits Europe’s, and Germany’s commitment to dialogue- the report said.

Germany was among EU countries advocating for more sanctions on Russia over the case of Navalny, who received medical treatment in Berlin and recovered in the Black Forest after being poisoned with a military-grade nerve agent last year.

Navalny, an anti-corruption activist, says the Kremlin was behind the attack, which Moscow denies. He was arrested after returning to Moscow from Germany in January and is now serving a new jail sentence in a Russian penal colony.
The EU last month agreed to blacklist four senior Russian officials over the Navalny case, adding to economic sanctions it had earlier slapped on Russia over the annexation of Crimea and the Kremlin’s support of armed separatists in eastern Ukraine.
EUvsDisinfo said Russia had depicted Germany as instrumental in driving the new sanctions that followed a trip by the EU’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, to Moscow in February.
While Borrell called for Navalny’s release, he also played up the need for dialogue and cooperation between the EU and Russia in areas such as climate change and the Iran nuclear deal. During his visit, however, Moscow expelled four EU diplomats, including one from Germany.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who grew up in Communist East Germany, has long been critical of Moscow’s human rights record, but Berlin has resisted U.S. pressure to block the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline that would pump more Russian gas to Europe via Germany.
EU leaders will discuss next steps in their troubled relationship with Russia at a summit on March 25-26.

The developers of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19 on Tuesday questioned the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) neutrality, after an official with the regulator urged EU states to refrain from approving the shot for now.

EMA management board chief Christa Wirthumer-Hoche told an Austrian talk show on Sunday that she would advise European Union countries against granting Sputnik V national emergency authorisation while EMA was still reviewing its safety and effectiveness.
-We demand a public apology from EMA’s Christa Wirthumer-Hoche for her negative comments..., (which) raise serious questions about possible political interference in the ongoing EMA review- the developers wrote on the official Sputnik V Twitter account.
In a written response, the Amsterdam-headquartered EMA said its review process for possible vaccines makes sure that all EU countries have “access to effectively evaluated medicines at the same time and ensures centralised safety monitoring across their life cycle.”
EMA said this month it would review data from ongoing trials of the vaccine until there was enough evidence for a formal marketing authorisation application.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Wirthumer-Hoche’s statement regrettable and inappropriate.
The developers said Sputnik V had already been authorised by 46 countries.
It has been approved or is being assessed for approval in three EU member states - Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic - and EU officials have said Brussels could start negotiations with a vaccine maker if at least four member countries request it.
Sputnik V could be manufactured for the first time in Europe outside Russia after a deal to produce it in Italy was signed by the Moscow-based RDIF sovereign wealth fund and Swiss-based pharmaceutical company Adienne.

With the summer flight schedule, airline company Eurowings has announced the re-establishment of routes to Cologne and Stuttgart, confirmed to FENA the spokeswoman for the Sarajevo International Airport, Sanja Bagarić-Arnaut.

Bagarić-Arnaut added that these flights are especially interesting for the numerous B&amp;H diaspora, our citizens living in that part of Germany.
Flights to Cologne start on April 3 and should take place once a week, every Saturday. As of May 2021, the company has announced flights to this destination three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica (INZ) today took over from the FB&amp;H Public Health Institute officials the first quantities of coronavirus vaccines, manufactured by AstraZeneca, which Serbia donated to the Federation of B&amp;H.

-We have received 740 doses, which will be distributed tomorrow morning (Wednesday) to health centers in all cities and municipalities of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, as well as to the Cantonal Hospital Zenica and the General Hospital in Tešanj. They are intended for vaccination of health workers who are in direct contact with COVID-positive patients- said Director of the Institute, Dr. Senad Huseinagić.
He stated that, according to records, slightly more than 2,100 health workers in this canton have expressed interest in vaccinating, so that this amount will be enough for the first vaccination of about a third of those interested, the Institute for Health and Food Safety announced.

The lawyer for the family of beheaded French teacher Samuel Paty expressed her anger on Tuesday over lies spread on social media which led to the murder.

Paty, a secondary school teacher in a town near Paris, was killed last October by a radical Chechen teenager after showing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed to students during a civics class about free speech.
A 13-year-old schoolgirl has confessed to police that she lied about being in attendance and falsely accused Paty of asking Muslim children to leave the class while he showed the pictures.
Her father, who has been charged in connection with the murder, posted several incendiary videos on Facebook afterwards based on his daughter's testimony which identified Paty.
-Everything in the investigation showed very early that she lied- the Paty family's lawyer Virginie Le Roy told RTL radio on Tuesday. 
She said she was "sceptical" of the version of events recounted by the girl who has said she saw herself as a spokesperson for other pupils and wanted to impress her father.
-A spokesperson of what? Of lies, of events that never happened? This explanation does not convince me and makes me rather angry because the facts are serious, they're tragic- Le Roy added.
The killing of Paty shocked France and led to a fresh debate about freedom of speech, the integration of France's large Muslim population, and the role of social media in whipping up hatred. 
Paty was murdered in the town of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine by the 18-year-old Muslim extremist from Russia who had seen the online campaign against the teacher mounted by the schoolgirl's father and another man, a known Islamist preacher. 
Both of the individuals behind the Facebook videos have been charged with "complicity in murder" over their postings and are awaiting trial in jail, while the schoolgirl has been charged with slander.
The killer was shot dead by police.

Anger over lies which led to killing of French teacher

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić visited the Brčko District today on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the District.

On that occasion, a member of the Presidency of B&amp;H and the leader of the Democratic Front paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the killed soldiers of the 108th Infantry Brigade of the Croat Defense Council.
Komšić reminded that defining the status of Brčko was so far the only amendment to the Constitution of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that unlike the RS entity authorities, the FB&amp;H authorities have neglected the strategic importance of the Brčko District and that such practice must change.
Komšić also met with the mayor of the Brčko District, Esed Kadrić and discussed infrastructure projects in the District, with a special focus on the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway.
He emphasized that in the process of procuring vaccines, the Brčko District will not be put aside and that he received guarantees from the Prime Minister of the Federation of B&amp;H, Fadil Novalić in that regard.

After we, as the Federation of B&amp;H, have definitely remained the only area in Europe that has not yet - if we do not count the little alms received - procured a single dose of vaccine, Fadil Novalić has only now decided on an emergency session of the FB&amp;H Government and the formation of working group for procurement of the vaccines for citizens of the Federation.
What a shame, incompetence, hypocrisy and disgusting attempt to share his own incompetence, delay, inaction and consequent killing of citizens with the newly formed working group.
While he came up with the idea to convene the emergency session, others in the region vaccinated more than a million of their citizens. Even the Republic of Srpska entity, led by Dodik, has shown the ability to import significant quantities of vaccines and start mass vaccination.
After all, what will the new working group do taking into consideration the fact that we have the 
The real working group should have been formed half a year ago and should have consisted exclusively of members of the Presidency of B&amp;H (at least Džaferović and Komšić), members of the Council of Ministers (Turković, Cikotić and Podžić), vice presidents of two houses in PAB&amp;H Bakir Izetbegović and Denis Zvizdić. This would show their managerial and state ability and international contacts, which is clearly lacking.
While in serious countries, presidents and prime ministers are dealing with procurement of a life-saving vaccines, in our country, the compromised Novalić, after a cataclysmic delay, is now transferring this job to the level of middle-ranking federal officials and doctors in the FB&amp;H House of Representatives.
Bosniaks are, this must finally be said openly, already brutally humiliated by the incompetence of their government, but also criminally and mortally endangered by those who have been convincing us for years that they are the only true patriots and protectors of the people and the state. How they protect us is now clear to everyone.

The third contingent of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus "Sputnik V" of 20,000 doses arrived in Banja Luka today.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that they received a promise from the producers and distributors that an additional 20,000 doses of the vaccine, ordered by the entity government, would be delivered in the next 10 days.
He said that it was time for that entity to start mass vaccination of priority groups of citizens.
Višković specified that RS paid for and ordered more than 800,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines.
He also pointed out that in June 2021, they plan to purchase a new quantity of about 500,000 doses.

B&amp;H Foreign Minister Bisera Turković continues to honor the public with meaningless and diplomatically scandalous statements, demonstrating a wide range of ignorance and insults to common sense.
Bisera's last statement is related to the dissatisfaction with Aleksandar Vučić's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the donation of 10,000 doses of the FB&amp;H "AstraZeneca" vaccine, when she claimed that these vaccines were not approved for EU countries and that they were intended for poor countries.

- I asked that the vaccine is not used until the consent of the Drug Agency in B&amp;H is obtained, because this vaccine does not have the consent in the EU or the USA - said Turković.
She further pointed out that this vaccine in question is produced in India, under the license of "AstraZeneca".
- It is a very affordable vaccine, which is mostly used in poor countries, such as the Dominican Republic and similar countires. Hence, very cheap and very affordable and not licensed for use in the EU. That is why my condition was that it should be checked at the Agency - said Turković.
The main problem with such claims by Turković is that they are not true. When it comes to the Indian vaccine "Covishiel", it is the same as adenovirus vaccine from the company "AstraZeneca / Oxford", but produced by the Serum Institute in India. In mid-February, the World Health Organization (WHO) approved two more variants of the AstraZeneca vaccine for emergency use. One version is produced by AstraZeneca - SKBio in the Republic of Korea, and the other at the Serum Institute in India.

Both vaccines were included in the emergency list, after the WHO assessed safety, quality and efficacy data. Essentially, these are medical products that have the same specifications, composition and method of production as the vaccine produced by "AstraZeneca" in Europe.
This information was confirmed for "Avaz" by the assistant director for drug control in the Agency for Medicines of B&amp;H, Alija Uzunović, who said that it is the same vaccine from "Oxford".
- They are produced by one company, only the branding of the products is different. But the same is done with other products in the world. The information that you have, we also have, there is no difference between the two vaccines, which was confirmed by Mirza Palo from the Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in B&amp;H. By the way, we received that information from the WHO - Uzunović emphasized.
Due to her false statement, Turković risks ultimately causing material and diplomatic damage to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Namely, Almir Badnjević, director of "Verlab", revealed that he received information from the management of "AstraZeneca" that this company is considering a lawsuit against our state due to unfounded statements and insults of their vaccine, which, he points out, was a great insult to them.
At the time Turković stated this, the EU was considering to approve these vaccines.
Let us remind you, the last "outburst" of Turković comes as just another one in a series by which the Minister offends the public and demonstrates lavish ignorance and lack of basic feeling for the situation in which the majority of B&amp;H citizens currently finds themselves.

She recently, answering the question why B&amp;H does not have vaccines, Turković made a scandalous statement, saying that "after the story about respirators, no one would have the courage to enter the process of private procurement of vaccines." Somewhere along the way, at times when citizens are dying from the coronavirus, the health care system is in chaos, and thousands of small businesses are closing their doors, Turković complained about her vehicle fleet at the Ministry and asked them to buy her a jeep.
It should be reminded that Turković sent her son to work in the B&amp;H Embassy in Qatar, and when asked by journalists whether she was embarrassed that she had hired her son, she replied:
-What now, that our children are not allowed to work in state agencies.
Turković also made it known to the public that her son Alija was "her baby", even though the baby is 40 years old. When asked about a number of houses and real estate she owns around the world, from Zagreb to Australia, Turkovic answered:
- Those are small, small, "tiny" houses.

Also, is there any need to remind about the famous gaffe, when Turković announced the ceremony of taking over the respirators from the United Arab Emirates as a donation for B&amp;H, which in the end turned out to be only in transit through our country and that they are intended for Montenegro.
Of course, this is only a part of the countless nebulous, rude and absurd statements that Turković gives in almost every public appearance, because all of them would require a thick book, and not a single journalistic text.

The same year, at the 17th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (2011) Wenders gave lectures to participants of Talents Sarajevo, an education program organized by Sarajevo Film Festival in cooperation with Berlinale Talents and International Film Festival in Berlin.
Wenders came to international prominence as one of the pioneers of the New German Cinema during the 1970s and is considered to be one of the most important figures in the history of film.
His international breakthrough came with THE AMERICAN FRIEND (1977). Since then Wenders has continued to work both in Europe and the USA as well as in Latin America, Asia and Australia and has been honored with countless awards at festivals around the world, including: the Golden Palm and the British Film Academy Award for PARIS, TEXAS (1984); the Director’s Prize in Cannes for WINGS OF DESIRE (1987); the Golden Lion in Venice for THE STATE OF THINGS (1982); and the Silver Bear for THE MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL (2000) at the Berlin International Film Festival.
His documentary films BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB (1999), PINA (2011), and THE SALT OF THE EARTH (2014) have all been nominated for an Oscar. 
In addition to his many prize-winning feature films, his work as a scriptwriter, director, producer, photographer and author also encompasses an abundance of innovative documentary films, international photo exhibitions and numerous monographs, film books and prose. In 2020 his newest 3D installation ‘’Two Or Three Things I Know About Edward Hopper’’ premiered as part of the exhibition Edward Hopper at the Fondation Beyeler.
In the fall of 2012, together with his wife Donata, Wim Wenders established the Wim Wenders Foundation in Düsseldorf. The non-profit foundation developed a framework that brings together the cinematic, photographic, artistic and literary life's work of Wim Wenders in his native country, making it permanently accessible to the general public worldwide through its digital restoration and preservation, and through the collaboration with many organizations worldwide working on making this work available. At the same time, the non-profit foundation supports young talents in the field of innovative narrative cinema through the Wim Wenders scholarship of the Film-und Medienstiftung NRW

SFF's Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award for 2021 goes to Wim Wenders

The "Handbook on Special Investigations", promoted today in Sarajevo, was prepared in cooperation with the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors in the Federation of B&amp;H and the Geneva Center for Security Sector Management - DCAF.

The publication is the result of cooperation between 20 judges, prosecutors and legal experts, led by the Dean of the UNSA Faculty of Law, Hajrija Sijerčić-Čolić, with the support of the RS Center for Education of Judges and Public Prosecutors, the B&amp;H Constitutional Court, the B&amp;H Court and the B&amp;H High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.
-Special investigations encroach on a person's privacy, affect the right to freedom of expression and information, and therefore we believe that such a publication, which brings together key procedures, principles and good examples from practice, is something that was necessary in our entire criminal- legal system- said the chairman of CEST FB&amp;H Arben Murtezić, adding that this manual is the result of the cooperation of representatives from each of the current criminal codes in B&amp;H, which further adds to its importance.
Special investigative actions are often used in the fight against the most serious forms of crime and the protection of state security.
In light of the fact that 67 courts in B&amp;H have the power to order these encroaching measures, which violate basic human rights, it is crucial to ensure that judges and prosecutors adhere to the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights.
