Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec expressed disappointment today that BiH political leaders did not reach an agreement on necessary amendments to the Election Law, saying that the OSCE will continue to work actively in the field of electoral reform, as they are committed to the provisions concerning the integrity of the electoral process in BiH. - Based on the invitation of the state of BiH, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights monitored the conduct of the elections on four occasions and made a report and pointed out various shortcomings and gave concrete recommendations for eliminating these shortcomings from the election process. As an OSCE member state, Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with all other states, is committed to respecting the democratic rights of its citizens and one of those rights is the obligation of BiH to organize democratic elections at regular intervals - said Kavalec during her visit to Tuzla.
She expressed the OSCE's concern over the disturbance of citizens' trust in the election process, and for that reason, she said, had repeatedly called for the necessary amendments to strengthen the integrity and transparency of the election process.
According to her, at the moment, the most important thing is for the Council of Ministers of BiH to make the necessary decisions on the allocation of funds needed for the organization of the elections in October 2022.
- We will not give up. We will continue to work on that. I must say that we are looking forward to the elections in October, which should be organized in accordance with the international obligations of this country as an OSCE member state - concluded Ambassador Kavalec.

President of the Alliance for a Better Future Fahrudin Radončić said after negotiations on the Election Law that general elections should be held.
He emphasized that this is a bad day for the Federation of BiH, and great joy for the president of SNSD, Milorad Dodik.
- The consequences of the failed negotiations will be felt in two or six months, when the elections are held, but that does not mean that someone should be afraid of war or any military escalation, but it is about the fact that political tensions will certainly increase, and they have been increased anyway - Radončić emphasized.

Also, as far as MP Vuković is concerned, as it is written in the document, the Working Group determined that she has secured and lobbied for a permanent job in the Health Insurance Institute of Tuzla Canton, as long as she is in the mandate of MP.

In the meantime, the working group received more compromising information and it will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor's Office.

For that, a debtor may ask a Russian bank to create a special ruble account "C" in the name of a foreign creditor and transfer payments to it in ruble equivalent at the exchange rate of the central bank on the day of payment.
The new order is temporary and is valid to payments exceeding 10 million rubles (around $72,202).

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić today talked with the Commander of the EUFOR Headquarters in BiH, General Anton Wessely, about the security situation in BiH and EUFOR's support which is the strongest link when it comes to preventing any destabilizing processes.

- The conversation with General Wessely was very fair and constructive. EUFOR has been and remains one of the most important links for the prevention of any processes that could destabilize BiH, as well as for the preservation of peace and stability in BiH, and thus in the Western Balkans - said Zvizdić, noting that it is all especially important at this moment.
He emphasized that we in BiH need peace and stability in order to be able to continue with the realization of two key foreign policy priorities, namely European integration and NATO integration.

He added that it is necessary to ensure prosperity and try to prevent young people from leaving BiH.

- In that sense, I still think it is very important to consider the option of accelerated accession of BiH to NATO, and as a preliminary step, the possibility of deploying NATO troops to several key points in BiH, with a focus on the Brčko District and certainly the need for BiH to be placed into the shortened procedure, because we deserved it; it to get a candidate status, which would permanently put this country on the tracks leading to European integration - Zvizdić pointed out.
So, he explained, BiH has already gone through what Ukraine is going through at the moment - severe aggression, destruction and killing of civilians.
- From that aspect, both Ukraine, which is in this situation, and BiH, which has gone through that aggression, deserve to receive candidate status according to the shortened procedure, and that this should be the position and message of the EU that both BiH and Ukraine belong to the family of modern European countries - said Chairman Zvizdić.
That is a very important message for all BiH citizens, he added, and it would be extremely important to preserve peace and stability in BiH.

These days, we are witnessing new, incidental situations in the Presidency of BiH. The projects of separatism, territorial pretensions against BiH are, obviously, still alive and therefore must be stopped. BiH must have complete peace, a stable situation, in order to enable a normal, peaceful and prosperous life for its citizens," Zvizdić underlined categorically.

Accordingly, he scheduled a session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for Friday, and the central topic will be the behavior of the BiH institutions in connection with the aggression against the internationally recognized state of Ukraine.
Zvizdić expressed hope that all MPs, as he said, will have enough courage and wisdom, human dignity and awareness of what is happening in Ukraine, which is very reminiscent of the war in BiH and its cities, especially Sarajevo, to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
He also added that enabling refugees from Ukraine to come to BiH and sending them all forms of assistance would be extremely important at this time.

Hanife Kurtseyit, another evacuee, expressed her happiness to be in Turkiye.

They arrived in Turkiye after a four-day journey via land, Kurtseyit said.

Improving parliamentary cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey was the topic of today’s meeting between members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly (BiH PA) and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey.

The President of the Alliance for a Better Future of BiH (Savez za bolju budućnost BiH – SBB), Fahrudin Radončić, on behalf of the members and sympathizers of SBB and himself, congratulated all citizens March 1st, the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- This is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the historic referendum held on March 1st, 1992. Bosniaks and Croats predominantly voted for an independent and sovereign BiH.
Dan nezavisnosti BiH trenutak je da pokažemo koliko volimo svoju domovinu i pošaljemo poruku da smo je spremni na sve načine braniti. Iskoristimo ovaj dan da se sjetimo najhrabrijih sinova naše države i odamo im počast, jer su oni za vrijeme agresije nesebično dali svoje živote za odbranu stečene nezavisnosti.
BiH Independence Day is a moment to show how much we love our homeland and to send a message that we are ready to defend it in all ways. Let us use this day to remember the bravest sons of our country and pay tribute to them, because they selflessly gave their lives during the aggression to defend acquired independence.
In the hope and belief that Bosnia and Herzegovina will become part of the families of NATO and the European Union, we spend this holiday filled with patriotic love and pride.
Also, in the moments when Europe is shaken by the earthquake of aggression against Ukraine, we can tell everyone that our fighters in sneakers and under the arms embargo in the epic battle managed to defend our people and state and that those who think to conquer Ukraine can learn a lesson in a few days, but also those who defend it with their lives. A fair fight is the source of every victory - said Fahrudin Radončić, it was announced from SBB.
