A hearing in the case of Dženan Memić was held at the Court of B&amp;H this morning. The indictment includes Zijad Mutap, Alisa Mutap-Ramić, Hasan Dupovac, Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović. All the accused pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment.
The accused are charged with organized crime and preventing the discovery and proving the cause of the death of young man Dženan Memić. As expected, everyone pleaded not guilty.
After the hearing, the father of the murdered Dženan, Muriz Memić, addressed the public.
- As we expected, criminals will always say they are not guilty. This is an organized criminal group that is ready to commit a crime, to hide it. We managed to get to court, the trial is going on. There is a huge number of witnesses, I am glad that I will be the first witness to testify - said Memić.
He points out that the investigation in this case continues.
- This investigation goes further. There are many more perpetrators. A murder investigation will also be opened and that is a big step forward. The proceedings before the Supreme Court were pending. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will handle the case. The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office cannot because Sabina Sarajlija accepted to deny the crimes. I have positive information for that. The state prosecutor's office has shown that they want to work - said Dženan's father Muriz.

Because of this, Fahrudin Radončić authorized his lawyers to file another defamation lawsuit against Dragan Mektić and the SB publisher, who regularly and in a coordinated manner publish Mektić'sfalse statements and accusations.
As is well known to the general public, Dragan Mektić is currently on trial before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for aggravated financial theft of donations sent to the Ministry of Security, and among other things, he is accused of buying plastic construction helmets with his chief of staff instead of professional ones for firefighters, which endangered people's lives.
Dragan Mektić was associated with several scandals related to war crimes because he was the commander of the police in Prnjavor during the war. In addition, the media reported that he sold the tombstones from the cemetery as ordinary stones.
Also, Mektić never publicly condemned the genocide committed by the RS Army and police, in which he was during the war.
It is obvious that Mektić cannot forgive the president of SBB for, by force of law, having to, as the Minister of Security of B&amp;H, submit to the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H all officially requested information regarding Mektic's financial fraud while he was Minister of Security and on what basis he is now being tried. 
In addition, it is no secret that Mektić, despite his terrible war biography, became the closest friend of Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, the morally and professionally stumbled director of ISA, and that Mektić's Tweets are part of Bakir Izetbegović's pre-election strategy.
At the same time, Mektić's constant attacks on Radončić are an obvious desire to publicly annul the fact that Osman Mehmedagic Osmica left several inspectors and police officers in SC without work due to revenge. The B&amp;H Presidency member Milorad Dodik said today that after the consultation with the RS political party leaders, he decided to attend a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Turkish president is scheduled to arrive in Sarajevo on Thursday night, and a meeting with members of the B&amp;H Presidency is scheduled for Friday.
Dodik said that both his and the political party leaders' opinion was that he should attend the meeting because "the other two members of the B&amp;H Presidency should not be allowed to attend the meeting alone with Erdogan".

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has remitted funds to the account of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) on Monday evening, based on the allocation of special drawing rights (SDR) in the amount of 254,182,273 .00 SDR.

In accordance with the existing laws and bylaws, the CBBH, as the fiscal agent of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the allocated funds, will approve the equivalent in the amount of 602,540,349.06 KM to the deposit account for IMF transactions - the main account of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of B&amp;H.
The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will distribute funds on the basis of appropriate instructions from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of B&amp;H, as the account holder, stated the CBBH. 
The Central Bank of B&amp;H reminds that the IMF has the authority to create unconditional liquidity through the general distribution (allocation) of SDRs to member countries in proportion to their share in the IMF capital, i.e. the quotas.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's IMF quota is 0.06 percent. The previous distribution of SDRs for B&amp;H was made in 2009 and arose as a measure to mitigate the effects of the global financial and economic crisis.

Poland on Monday announced plans for a barbed-wire fence along its border with Belarus following an influx of migrants which countries in the region called a "hybrid attack" on the EU.

Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said the fence would be 2.5 metres (8.2 feet) high and would resemble the one built by Hungary along its border with Serbia.
-The work will begin next week- Blaszczak said, adding that it would be built along 130 kilometres of the border -- or around a third of the total distance.
Hungary built a fence along the Serbian border in 2015 and 2016 as Europe grappled with a large increase in migration from Syria.
Blaszczak also said the contingent of Polish soldiers currently deployed to help border guards would be doubled to 2,000.
-We will oppose the opening of a new route for the trafficking of migrants through Polish territory- the minister said.
Thousands of migrants -- mostly from the Middle East -- have crossed the EU border from Belarus in recent months and Brussels believes the influx is being deliberately engineered by the regime in Minsk in retaliation against EU sanctions.
Poland and the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania earlier on Monday urged the United Nations to take action against Belarus.
The four prime ministers said in a joint statement that the influx had been "planned and systematically organised by the regime of (Belarusian President) Alexander Lukashenko".

Kenya on Monday got a boost in its fight against COVID-19 after it received more than 800,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine amid a surge in infections.

Kenya Health Principal Secretary Susan Mochache received 880,460 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the capital Nairobi.
The Kenyan government says it plans to vaccinate 10 million people by the end of this year with 26 million people expected to be vaccinated by the end of next year. Kenya has so far administered 2.9% of the country’s adult population.
-On behalf of the Ministry of Health and all Kenyans, I sincerely thank the government of the United States for the kind donation. Further, I extend my thanks to the governments of the United Kingdom, Denmark, Greece and France who have so far donated a cumulative total of 1.13 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine- Mochache said at the handover ceremony.

More than 1.61 million people in Kenya have received at least one vaccine dose, while more than 780,300 have been fully vaccinated as of Aug. 22.
The Kenyan government aims to start vaccinating 150,000 people daily before the end of September. The focus is to protect those at the greatest risk of infection.

Israel to offer Covid jabs in schools to avoid closures

A strike on German passenger rail began early Monday, creating headaches for thousands of travellers and commuters, after the train drivers' union rejected a new offer to keep services going.

In a statement on Sunday, rail operator Deutsche Bahn offered to negotiate a coronavirus-related bonus for drivers this year.
The suggestion was "a strong sign of willingness to reach an agreement" on behalf of Deutsche Bahn, the company's personnel director Martin Seiler said in a statement.
-With a coronavirus bonus we have met one of the union's key demands. There is no longer any reason to refuse to return to the negotiating table- Seiler said.
The GDL drivers' union rejected the offer later on Sunday, describing it as a "smokescreen".
-With an offer not worth the paper it's written on, the trickster managers want to deceive passengers and in a targeted way spark anger and frustration against GDL- the head of the union Claus Weselsky said in a statement. 
The strike action, announced last week, is the second in a wage dispute between GDL and German rail. 
Earlier this month, the union led a walk-out after its members voted 95 percent in favour of the move, following the collapse of talks with Deutsche Bahn.
The union is demanding a 1.4-percent pay hike plus a bonus this year, and a further wage rise of 1.8 percent in 2022.
Deutsche Bahn has proposed to phase in a 3.2-percent wage increase in two steps in 2022 and 2023.
The company's most recent offer made no mention of the value of the bonus to be negotiated, while the GDL has demanded a premium of 600 euros ($703).
As the strike began, only one in four long-distance passenger services were operating.
A walk-out affecting Deutsche Bahn's freight services started Saturday at 2:00 am (0000 GMT). The strikes on both passenger and cargo services are due to end on August 25 at 2:00 am (0000 GMT).

Georgia on Sunday asked Russia to withdraw troops from its territories, calling on Moscow to comply with the 2008 post-conflict agreement with Tbilisi.

<h2>South Ossetia and Abkhazia conflict</h2>

A 13-month conflict erupted between the Georgian army and Abkhazian separatists supported by Russia between 1992 and1993.

In 2008, a five-day conflict referred to as the South Ossetia conflict broke out between Georgia and Russia over the breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Tbilisi ultimately lost control of both areas, and Russia later recognized them as independent states.
In response, Georgia cut off diplomatic relations with Russia, after which Switzerland took up the role of the mediator country.
Both regions remain internationally recognized Georgian territories.
