Ten people suffered minor injuries at a beachfront disco in southern Italy early Wednesday after a patron began shooting, Italian news media reported.

Police arrested the suspected shooter, who opened fire during a brawl that broke out at about 2 am at a popular club near Taranto, the reports said. 
Some 300 college students were in the club at the time of the shooting.
The injured were hit in the legs or hurt in the ensuing melee, according to local media. None of the injuries were life-threatening.&nbsp;

Ukraine, the United States, Poland and Lithuania launched joint military exercises on Monday, amid ongoing tensions between Kiev and Moscow. 

The drills, dubbed Three Swords 2021, involve more than 1,200 military personnel and over 200 combat vehicles, and will take place at Yavoriv training ground in the western Lviv region until July 30, the military said.
-The official launch ceremony took place today- Volodymyr Skorostetsky, a Ukrainian military spokesman, told AFP.
Part of military cooperation involving Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine, the exercises are being held in Ukraine for the first time.
In 2014, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania set up a joint military unit in the eastern Polish city of Lublin.
The unit includes 2,600 Poles, 570 Lithuanians and 340 Ukrainians.
The latest military exercises come after Ukraine and the United States held joint naval exercises, Sea Breeze, in the Black Sea. 
The two-week drills began in late June, after the British navy's HMS Defender passed near Russian-annexed Crimea in the Black Sea. 
Moscow said at the time it had fired warning shots at the destroyer to ward it off.
Ukraine has been battling pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine since 2014 in a conflict that has claimed more than 13,000 lives.
After a lull in fighting last year, the conflict escalated again at the start of 2021.
In April, Russia amassed more than 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border and in Crimea, before announcing a troop pullback. Both Washington and Kiev say that the withdrawal has been limited.

The coronavirus situation in Moscow is improving and the number of cases is falling, the capital's mayor said on Monday.

-I must say that the morbidity rate has been going down for four weeks in a row. Over the past week, we have already seen a significant drop in new infections and hospitalizations- Sergey Sobyanin told a meeting at a Moscow hospital.
He added that 6,000 beds repurposed for the treatment of COVID-19 patients can now be used by ordinary patients, a sign of improvement in the city's epidemiological situation.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also praised the efforts of the capital's authorities, saying they proved their efficiency in countering the pandemic many times.
In a separate statement, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko urged the public to get vaccinated before autumn when seasonal flu-like illnesses and COVID-19 could worsen the situation.
Murashko confirmed that it is possible to get infected with COVID-19 even after getting vaccinated, but with mild symptoms and mostly without any need for hospitalization.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the legal deadline, filed an appeal against the decision of the Court of B&amp;H not to extend the detention measure for the suspects in the "Zijad Mutap and Others" case.
- The appeal was filed in relation to all five suspects - the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H announced.
The appeal refers to Zijad Mutap, Hasan Dupovac, Alisa Ramić (Mutap), Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović, and it was stated with a proposal to change the decision and extend the custody of the suspects.

The appeal was filed due to an erroneous and incompletely established factual situation in relation to the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H to extend the custody of the suspects.

The handover ceremony of the donation of the USA Government was held in the barracks of the Armed Forces (AF) of B&amp;H in Rajlovac, and it is about 21 highly mobile multi-purpose Humvee vehicles type M1152 and M1165.
The value of the donation is more than 26 million US dollars. As the Minister of Defense of B&amp;H, Sifet Podžić, said, the donated vehicles confirm that the USA most comprehensively and concretely supports the AFB&amp;H and the Ministry of Defense of B&amp;H.
- Out of 21 donated vehicles, nine are ambulance vehicles, while 12 are for the transport of corpses. In addition to the previously donated 58 Humvee vehicles, the Armed Forces of B&amp;H now have 79 Humvee at their disposal, which greatly increases the mobility of our forces - said Podžić.
He announced that seven more Humvees will be donated in the next period, which will bring the value of this donation to more than 14.3 million US dollars.
- The benefits of donated vehicles will not only have the Armed Forces, but all citizens of B&amp;H, because we will use them in crisis situations, natural disasters - said Podžić.
US Ambassador to B&amp;H Eric Nelson said that he was glad to be able to present this gift of American people to B&amp;H.
- We call these vehicles multi-purpose, they can move on various terrains, they can be used in peace as support to the Armed Forces. That capacity to respond to crisis situations in peacetime is something that the United States is investing in to increase those capacities. That is why the recently held exercise "Immediate Response", which we organized with the help of the National Guard of the State of Maryland, was important, we included all agencies and civil protection, all in order to respond to crisis situations as well as possible - said Nelson.

He added that the United States is aware that their investment has helped the AFB&amp;H raise its standards and is now seen as a trusted partner in projects implemented by international forces.

- This is new equipment that has not been used before. As for the helicopters, there are four UHA2s. These are multi-purpose helicopters that can be used as transport. For the first time, our army will be able to use helicopters in all weather conditions, regardless of whether it is day or night - said Mašović.

The EU on Sunday called for calm in occupied East Jerusalem amid tension over plans by Israeli settler groups to storm the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.
